This blog is meant to do just what the title implies: explore the creative processes and inspiration that go into crafting lyrics. This creative process is otherwise known as songwriting. This blog will focus mostly on lyrics that have a deeper personal meaning to the writer, or a great social commentary meaning.

The blog will focus primarily on bands native to Arizona but will also include acts that tour through the area, mostly at smaller venues and clubs.

In addition to songwriting, information and tips on other aspects of the music scene (touring, recording, promotion, merch) will be included as sidebars.

Chelsey Heath is a sophomore student at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication pursuing a B.A./M.M.C. Apart from schoolwork, she enjoys music, writing (even more!), painting and exploring Phoenix with her camera in tow.
